About me
From Busia to the world, and back again.
Teacher. Technologist. Husband and father. Son of a Busia schoolteacher who taught me that education is the surest way out of poverty.
My story
My story begins in Busia, a place that will forever be my home. I moved between primary schools across the county, following my mother's work. She was a teacher and a single mother who dedicated her life to educating others — she is my greatest inspiration. Through her I learned resilience, sacrifice and the power of education to change a life.
I carried that drive to Kakamega High School and then Kenyatta University, where I trained as a teacher. There I began to see that the problems in our classrooms are often problems of systems — and that better systems and smarter tools can fix them.
That led me to the United States, where I specialised in Information Technology. I saw how technology can unlock potential, speed up public services and open opportunities that once seemed out of reach. I knew I had to bring that knowledge home — not for personal gain, but to uplift the community that raised me.
